Gian Claudio Batic is senior researcher at the Department of Asian African and Mediterranean Studies, University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’, where he teaches Hausa language and literature. His research focuses on the documentation and description of West Chadic languages. He has published grammatical and ethnolinguistic studies on Hausa [hau], Bole [bol], Bure [bvh] and Kushi [kuh].
