Minoranze linguistiche e dialetti
Main Article Content
Abstract
The dialectologist, not considering denomination problems, studies the local languages as natural human languages observed from the variability point of view. In the current framework, not only the so-called “minority languages” deserve tutelage, but all those local languages whose community of speakers risks disintegrating because of migratory movements or a communicative practice that favors Italian or other supra-local languages, even in informal speech. Therefore, the offer of protection by the institutions must be addressed to all local dialects and can have a privileged place in schools: however, safeguard cannot be practiced with the formal teaching of the dialect, but through the comparison with other languages.
