Abstract

Fantom is a psychoanalytic concept indicating the unique formula through which the subject represents its ways of relating to the desire of the Other, a formula that therefore organizes sexual and sentimental life. Deeply rooted in the drives, fantasy cannot be unrelated to sexual difference. This paper will explore some aspects of the psychoanalytic theory with the intention of showing how sexual difference affects fantasy life, within those events in which the latter is predominant, from symptom to love.
