Sulla strada verso casa. Divagazioni intorno alla letteratura di Carlos Liscano.
Abstract
Who is Carlos Liscano? What elements characterise his literature? Taking as a starting point the literary theory - developed by Harold Bloom (2014) - that considers writing to be the result of a revisionist and conflictual relationship with one’s masters, an investigation is proposed here into the elements that characterise the South American writer’s works. In particular, the novel Verso Itaca, the manifesto of Liscano’s poetics, is examined. A series of recurring themes emerge - the dream, the journey, the search for the elsewhere, violence, irony - that are also examined in the light of the theoretical suggestions of that sociological approach known as symbolic interactionism.
