Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the creation and representation of the Moroccan city in twentieth century Spanish literature, with special attention to the codifications and discursive symbolisms that nurture the recreation of clichés about the Arab-Islamic world. Thus, in no case this work is interested in the real knowledge of Moroccan cities, but in the mental perception that the Spanish literature of the last century had.
