Abstract
Presentation of a text on Modernism of Arsenio Frugoni and Raoul Manselli (1970). The author emphasizes the relationship between the two historians and Raffaello Morghen, disciple of Ernesto Buonaiuti, as an important circumstance for understanding the genesis and content of the text. He also emphasizes the original reading by the two medievalists, who consider the Modernism as a moment in the process of continuous adaptation of Christianism to the historical circumstances.
