Abstract

This article is aimed at underscoring the factors of attractiveness of the reformed Augustinian convent of Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome. The paper also highlights the relationships that the Lombard friars (emphasis will be placed on the most important figures who resided in the convent) established on the one hand with the ecclesiastical and curial milieux, and on the other hand with the different urban social social realties that in one way or another gravitated around the convent and the church under their care.
