For further details on the text editing, please refer to the information present in the paper template.

Second phase: Submission

The submission of the articles must be done by logging in the website of the journal. The procedure is divided into five steps, as follows:

Step 1. Chose the section of the journal for which the author makes the submission (FOCUS section dedicated to the specific topic of the journal number or LUME section devoted to the general theme of the land-use, transport, and environmental interactions);

Step 2. Upload the typeset paper in .doc format;

Step 3. Fill the metadata section with all information related to all authors (name, surname, email, ORCID, URL, Affiliation, country, biography) and to the article (title, abstract, organization of support, references, keywords).

Step 4. If necessary, upload additional files (such as images, tables, etc..);

Step 5. The corresponding author and co-authors will receive a confirmation e-mail (by OJS platform) and the progress of the submission can be followed through the editorial process by logging in. Please, check-in the spam folder of your email box if you do not receive the email.

Third phase: Editorial Assignment

Step 1. The editorial board assigns each item to an Editor who has the task of keeping the relationship with the author;

Step 2. The Editor will proceed to a preliminary reading, which may also involve requests of improvement to fulfill two obligations, the first of scientific nature while the second is purely editorial. In this case, the author could receive communication directly from the editor with the request of modifications.

Fourth phase: Review process

Step 1. The Editor will forward the paper to the double-blind peer-review: the text will be anonymously evaluated by two (or more) academicians whose identity will remain anonymous to the authors;

Step 2. On the basis of reviewers’ comments, the Editor will communicate the final decision (Accept Submission, Request Revisions and Decline Submission) to the authors sending an email through the OJS platform.

Step 3. In the case of “Request Revision”, the editor asks the author an improvement of the article on the basis of reviewers' comments and will decide if the second round of peer-review is needed before the final decision. After the submission of the revised paper, the editor decides to accept or either decline the publication.
