Review Pages: Planning for Livable and Safe Cities: Extreme Weather Events Caused by Climate Change

Abstract

Starting from the relationship between urban planning and mobility management, TeMA has gradually expanded the view of the covered topics, always remaining in the groove of rigorous scientific in-depth analysis. During the last two years a particular attention has been paid on the Smart Cities theme and on the different meanings that come with it. The last section of the journal is formed by the Review Pages. They have different aims: to inform on the problems, trends and evolutionary processes; to investigate on the paths by highlighting the advanced relationships among apparently distant disciplinary fields; to explore the interaction’s areas, experiences and potential applications; to underline interactions, disciplinary developments but also, if present, defeats and setbacks. Inside the journal the Review Pages have the task of stimulating as much as possible the circulation of ideas and the discovery of new points of view. For this reason the section is founded on a series of basic’s references, required for the identification of new and more advanced interactions. These references are the research, the planning acts, the actions and the applications, analysed and investigated both for their ability to give a systematic response to questions concerning the urban and territorial planning, and for their attention to aspects such as the environmental sustainability and the innovation in the practices. For this purpose the Review Pages are formed by five sections (Web Resources; Books; Laws; Urban Practices; News and Events), each of which examines a specific aspect of the broader information storage of interest for TeMA

Gennaro Angiello, Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering - University of Naples Federico II Italy
Ingegnere. Dottorando di ricerca in Ingegneria dei Sistemi Civili presso l’Università di Napoli Federico II. Si occupa di mobilità sostenibile, accessibilità e modelli di interazione trasporti-territorio. Da marzo 2012 collabora con la rivista scientifica “TeMA-Journal of Land-Use, Mobility and Environment”, per la quale è attualmente redattore della rubrica “Urban Practices”.  Da Maggio 2012 è membro  dell’Azione COST “Accessibility Instruments for Planning Practice in Europe”. Si laurea in Ingegneria dei Sistemi Idraulici e di Trasporto nel febbraio 2013, discutendo una tesi in Tecnica Urbanistica sulla pianificazione integrata trasporti-territorio delle aree di stazione. Nel giugno 2013 è vincitore di una borsa di studio post-laurea all’interno del progetto di ricerca “PRIN 2009 – Linee guida per la Mobilità Sostenibile”. Da marzo 2014 collabora al progetto di ricerca “Smart Energy Master”, all’interno del quale si occupa di risparmio energetico nel settore dei trasporti e della mobilità

Da dicembre 2012 collabora con la rivista scientifica “TeMA-Journal of Land-Use, Mobility and Environment” e si occupa della rubrica “Books”. Da Maggio 2013 è membro  dell’Azione COST “Accessibility Instruments for Planning Practice in Europe”. Laureatosi in Ingegneria per l'Ambiente e il Territorio presso l'Università di Napoli Federico II, con una tesi incentrata sul governo delle trasformazioni urbane e territoriali. Nel luglio 2013 ha vinto una borsa di studio nell’ambito del progetto di ricerca PRIN “Linee guida per la mobilità sostenibile nelle aree urbane”. Da marzo 2014 collabora al progetto di ricerca “Smart Energy Master”, all’interno del quale si occupa di risparmio energetico nel settore degli edifici.

Ingegnere, dottoranda di ricerca in Ingegneria dei Sistemi Civili presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Edile e Ambientale dell’Università di Napoli Federico II. Si è laureata in Ingegneria Edile-Architettura con una tesi sul fenomeno dell’urban sprawl in Campania. Dal 2014 fa parte del gruppo di ricerca che lavora al progetto europeo “Smart Energy Master” e la sua attività di ricerca si concentra principalmente sul complesso e multidimensionale rapporto tra città e consumi energetici.
