Tre voci per il DESN: 'tarcena', 'tarcenale' e 'tarco'

Abstract

The study presents a small selection of entries to be published in the DESN, to continue the work begun in the inaugural volume Voci dal DESN (2022), in which the first 152 words beginning with the letter T- were collected. Here we include the 17^th century attestation tarco, which is separated from the already published synonym, talco. The other entries are tarcenale and tarcena, arabisms that, in another form, are widespread in Italian too. Marginally, we also talk of sarcinale, which shares some figurative meanings with tarcenale.
