Abstract

The Campeggiani-Scaffai edition of La bufera e altro (Milano, Mondadori, 2019) fills a gap in the complete commented edition of Eugenio Montale’s poetry. This editorial event allows to take stock of what has been discussed by the scientific community about commenting 20th century poetry. After a recognition of the main problems that scholars have to solve during the making of integral commentaries to recent poetry books, the paper focuses on the “Montale case” in order to verify methodological proposals and new interpretations offered by this new Bufera.
