La guerra vicina e lontana. Riflessioni e scrittura di giovani autori ungheresi della Transcarpazia ucraina
Abstract
English article title: War near and far. Reflections and writing by young Hungarian authors from Ukrainian Transcarpathia
The article analyzes the situation of the younger generation of Transcarpathian authors and of the very concept of Transcarpathianness (kárpátaljaiság): what does it mean to be an author of Transcarpathian literature and what is the context in which they operate, what are the objectives of their writing? Starting from the theoretical line of Éva Jeney, inherent to the question of ‘Hungarian literature or Hungarian literatures’, reference is made to the ‘internal vision’ of the theme by writers and literary critics from Transcarpathia, to finally arrive at the point of view of some young authors both on Transcarpathian Hungarian literature, in its historical and social context and through the grid of the influence of the war against Russia, both on its relationship with other ‘Hungarian literatures’ (in and outside Hungary’s borders) and with Ukrainian literature. In the appendix, two short stories (T. Shrek, K. Sz. Kárpáthy) and three poems (G. Marcsák) are presented in Italian translation.
