Two Stalinisms of the soul, two writings that "elaborate" them: Ferenc Karinthy, "Muratori" (1950) and Imre Sarkadi, "La vigliacca" (1961)
Abstract
The article juxtaposes two authors of the same generation, with fundamentally different social backgrounds and literary training; the interest in their mode of writing stems from the cultural climate they share and which leads them, in each case, to measures of realism, albeit from opposite sides.
