DISMISSIONE E RIUSO DEGLI SPAZI DEL SACRO
Abstract
Today in Europe there are many disused churches. This phenomenon shows how we will need to address an important problem: the transformation of sacredness in contemporary society. Starting from this idea, we can face future challenges for a different interpretation of the Church's real estate and its cultural heritage. Today, anthropology and the topology of sacredness highlight how religious cultural assets no longer belong only to the collectively of believers, but they belong to the history of populations and their culture. We can redefine the concept of belonging of religious cultural heritage so that we can find a useful tool to supervise the criteria of the transition from a classical model of sacred space to a new hybrid model of holy space that can be more careful towards human being. Starting from this theoretical background, the paper studies some criteria that will support the transition processes towards the conversion / disposal of the religious cultural heritage.
