Abstract

At a time of epochal transition, marked by complex globalisation phenomena, alongside the opportunities of AI systems, there are significant risks for protecting fundamental rights. In this context, there is a need to regulate situations that could undermine the progress made in gender equality. The essay, analysing some experiences considered significant from a comparative point of view, traces a valuable path to reflect whether the AI Act, an expression of emancipatory policies and change, exacerbates the digital gender gap or marks a worldwide reference model for the subject in question
