The resilience of the autonomous state in the face of crises
Abstract
The Spanish regional State has gone through three crisis during the last decade: the euro-crisis, the pandemic and the struggle between the Spanish and the Catalan governments. In this context, this article analyses how the Spanish Regional State dealt with both the Euro-crisis and the pandemic. Such analysis is made within the framework of the well-known theory of the safeguards of federalism. The goal is to ascertain whether the impact of the crisis has changed the dynamic of the Spanish Regional State
