Stylistic implications of the penultimate form of ‘Le mosche del capitale’
Abstract
The paper aims at investigating and intepreting the last typescript of Paolo Volponi's novel Le mosche del Capitale (Einaudi, 1989), preserved at the Einaudi Archive. The form presents stylistic and linguistic variants, in close connection with the structural ones, and cooperates in the understanding of one of the texts that narrates (and peremptorily sanctions) the liquidation of the association between work and capital in the Italian context.
