Abstract

Starting from the observation that identities are constantly reconstructed, this article focuses on the concepts of identity and integration, that is, on the distinction between the two ways of addressing the question of recognition of the human, the ontological and the historical modes. On the basis of these assumptions, the situation in Latin America is analyzed using José Martí's "Nuestra América" ​​project as a point of reference.
