The dystopias created by the contemporary age: augmented reality and artificial intelligence
Abstract
Augmented reality and artificial intelligence refer to techniques or knowledge that, although they have made incredible and significant developments in recent years, in many respects have yet to assert their full potential. However, the effects that augmented reality and artificial intelligence have on humanity, and which are already perfectly observable today, seem to materialize some of those dystopian visions thought long ago by scholars and writers. Based on this assumption, the article focuses in particular on some emblematic examples that demonstrate the changes that have taken place and those that could be achieved in the not too distant future.
